Justin Bieber: Wants Marriage, Kids in 'God's Time,' Considers Oprah's Advice
Justin Bieber, the 19-year-old Canadian pop star, wants to build his own family but is content on waiting on God's timing to make it happen.
"I can't wait to have a beautiful wife and little kids running around. We're going to have to wait and see as to when and how many," Bieber said according to PerezHilton.com reports. "Those things are in God's hands, not mine."
This is not the first time Bieber opened up about his feelings on marriage. The singer spoke about his grandparents setting a standard for what he wants in the future.
"My grandparents Bruce and Diane Dale [are my relationship role models," he told Us Weekly earlier this year. "They love each other so much, after so many years! When I'm their age, I want to be as in love with my wife as my grandfather is with his."
Oprah Winfrey, the 59-year-old media maven, warned Bieber against trying to be tied into a marriage while he was too young. Winfrey inquired about Bieber's desire to get married at 25 years old on her show "Oprah's Next Chapter."
"I think so, yea," Bieber responded to the inquiry last year.
When the media proprietor asked the young singer to rethink his stance on marriage before 30, he asked her "why?"
"I think 25′s too young, actually," Winfrey told Bieber. "I really do – and particularly for you."
Winfrey went on to defend her stance.
"Your whole 20s is about discovering who you really are, and you owe that to yourself, particularly because of the business that you're in," Winfrey told Bieber last year. "There's not a lot of self-discovery time because so much is already defined for you."
The singer told Winfrey about wanting a "handful" of kids, but she didn't let up during the interview.
"So, you were gonna get married at 25 but now you're gonna rethink it because I'm telling you to," she questioned the young entertainer.
Bieber smiled at Winfrey and seemed to consider her advice.
"Yeah, I mean, you are Oprah, you are telling me I should not get married at 25, I should probably listen to you," he told her.
