Justin Bieber's not ready to return to music, says God defines him not his career
Pop star Justin Bieber revealed to his fans Monday that despite their calls for him to make a new album, he's not ready for a comeback and is focusing on his marriage.
“I read a lot of messages saying you want an album. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour,” Bieber wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.
In 2017, Bieber decided to surround himself with Christian mentors after having several run-ins with police. In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, he confessed that he found himself consumed by his career, addicted to Xanax, and spiraling out of control. That resulted in him canceling an international tour to focus on getting his life back in order.

Since then, the newlywed singer has been regularly seen attending church with his wife, Hailey, while actively sharing his Christian faith on social media.
“I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be,” Bieber continued.
“Music is very important to me but nothing comes before my family and my health,” he said.
Bieber said he would release an album as soon as possible but emphasized that his career and what he produces no longer defines him.
“My swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable, his love is supernatural, his grace is that reliable ... the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not, the king said so,” he said. “I will come with a vengeance believe that.”
Bieber's transformation has been widely associated with the mentoring he's received from Hillsong pastor, Carl Lentz and Seattle, Washington-based Pastor Judah Smith. The well-known preachers are credited with bringing the artist back to his faith and baptizing him.
Throughout the years, his wife Hailey has also been seen many times attending Lentz's church, her father, Stephen Baldwin, is an outspoken Christian actor who credits his faith for saving his life from addiction. The two reconnected last June while the pop star was on a much-needed break from his career to clean up his then bad boy image.
Since then Bieber has been spotted in London performing an impromptu worship concert outside of Buckingham Palace and leading a worship set to large crowds at Coachella. Maybe his future music will feature some of his own Faith inspired music.
