Music producer Timbaland whose crafted platinum selling records for the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jay Z and the-late Aaliyah, recently discussed God's expectations for those who are blessed with wealth.

During an appearance on the radio show Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club the super producer touched on what he wants his legacy to be with hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlemagne.

"The legacy of Timbaland is helping others," Timbaland said of himself. "All the people around me I've gotten six figures or more [for]. The one thing that you can say: when you're in my crew, I get you paid. Maybe I won't get paid as much. I don't like going to a store and we can't talk about the same things or buy the same things."

"God put us on Earth. We are always going to have our wealth, but if you are chosen to be that special person, you are chosen with a lot of other obligations in that, and that is helping others. And when you're helping others your success keeps going."

Timbaland visited the nationally syndicated radio program to discuss his role as executive music producer on the new Fox series "Empire" which was co-created by Lee Daniels, the mind behind such film's such as "The Butler" and "Precious."

The series stars Academy Award-winning Actor Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson and follows a family who is entrenched in the hip-hop music business.

Timbaland has been vocal about his faith in the past and even credited God for helping him to repair his relationship with Jay Z in 2013.

"I'm very religious, so I'm gonna put it in these terms: God done work on me," said Timbaland, according to a New York Times report. "That's the best way I can put it. God did a lot of work on me, and when I looked in the mirror I saw a different person. I did some changing, and the first person I apologized to way Jay."

Timbaland rose to fame as a hip-hop and R&B record producer in the late-1990s releasing multiple hits with singers Ginuwine, Aaliyah and rapper Missy Elliot. He began working with Jay Z around that same time.

The super producer had great success collaborating with Justin Timberlake first on his 2002 album "Justified" on the song "Cry Me a River" and producing the majority of songs on his 2006 multiplatinum selling album "Future Sex/Love Sounds." He's also worked on records for Madonna, Beyonce and Nelly Furtado.
