'Juuni Taisen' Episode 2 Spoilers: The War as Seen Through the Eyes of the Dog Warrior
The 12th Zodiac War has begun, and an unexpected turn of events has already concluded the first episode of the Japanese anime series, "Juuni Taisen." What other potentially deadly tricks will the other warriors reveal as the no-holds-barred battle continues?
The warriors have gathered, the rules have been set, and the poison jewels have been swallowed as the bloody battle that commences every twelve years begins. Twelve warriors from the twelve families representing each animal in the Chinese zodiac have come together for a chance to dominate his or her eleven contemporaries.
The one who defeats everyone else and gathers the twelve poisonous jewels, known as Juseki, that each of them has swallowed, will be declared the winner and will have a wish granted as his prize. The Juseki has also limited the battle to twelve hours since this is the length of time it takes for the poison to completely kill anyone who has swallowed it.
The winner also has the antidote for the poison given to him or her as a bonus prize.
The first episode was narrated entirely from the Boar Warrior Toshiko Ino's point of view. However, since it seems that she may have already succumbed to death and is about to become the necromancer Rabbit Warrior's enchanted corpse ally, the second episode will shift into the Dog Warrior's perspective.
How will the ongoing war look through the eyes of the Dog, and what kinds of tricks will he be dispensing in order to win each battle and take everyone else down? Which one of the remaining warriors will he end up competing with and who will be left standing between them?
The stakes are high and the fighters are exceptionally sly, thus making the outcome of each battle unpredictable. Whose wish will be granted in the end?
