Kaley Cuoco Pregnancy Rumors Slammed
Kaley Cuoco is firing back at gossip mongers who suggested she was pregnant following her whirlwind engagement to Ryan Sweeting.
The "Big Bang Theory" star announced her engagement to Sweeting after less than three months of dating in September, unveiling a large diamond engagement ring in Los Angeles on Sept. 26.
Cuoco admitted that the abrupt engagement "may seem a little crazy," but explained that "when you know, you know," while on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Nevertheless, fans looked deeper into the engagement and speculated that Cuoco may be pregnant, much to the actress' chagrin. Setting the record straight, Cuoco took to Twitter over the weekend.
"I would like to make something very clear to anyone who cares," the 27-year-old wrote. "I AM NOT EFFING PREGNANT. Do with that what you will."
Further disproving rumors that the engagement was spurred by pregnancy, Cuoco and Sweeting are in no hurry to actually get married.
"We are too busy to wedding plan," the actress told Us magazine. "In a year we will start talking about it. We are enjoying being engaged."
Although the pair are not really tying the knot until sometime in the future, Cuoco and Sweeting pretended to marry on the "Ellen" show earlier this month.
While on the show, DeGeneres could not help poking some fun at the couple for getting engaged so quickly.
"Love is a good feeling isn't it? People don't understand, [and yours] is new, how long have you known him," DeGeneres asked.
"It's newer," Cuoco said, laughing.
"Well when you feel it, you just know it," DeGeneres said, adding that Sweeting was backstage.
"My head writer Kevin became ordained over the summer, should you choose [to get married today]. It'll save you money," DeGeneres reasoned before hanging Cuoco a makeshift veil and a bridal necklace made with tennis balls.
"I even wore a white dress," the actress squealed before meeting Sweeting, a tennis player, at the impromptu "altar."
"This isn't legal, right," Sweeting asked before a very brief "ceremony."
Although the wedding was just for television, Cuoco said "this is it" for her future and that Sweeting is the love of her life.
The actress was introduced to Sweeting during a blind date arranged through mutual friends.
"From day one I just knew immediately and it's been magic," she told Entertainment Tonight last month.
