Kandi Burruss Mother Says Todd Tucker Should Defend Real Housewives of Atlanta Star More
Joyce Jones, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" personality who came on the show as the mother to singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss, is revealing why she cannot get past her issues with her daughter's fiance.
Jones, known as "Momma Joyce" on the Bravo reality television show, has vehemently disagreed with her singer-songwriter daughter's decision to marry her fiance - broadcast producer Todd Tucker. Although Momma Joyce has recently spoken about making amends with her daughter, it seems she is still not convinced that Tucker is the best choice for her.
Although Jones previously said she would stop meddling in her daughter's love life, it seemed she had a hard time doing that during a recent appearance on CBS Atlanta Morning Show. Jones said she was upset that Tucker defended himself and Burruss' friend Carmen against rumors that they were an item more than his fiancee - daughter Riley.
"When Todd was at the house, he came up the steps and he said, 'don't hate me because I'm killing the wall'–that's when I was talking about his picture being all over the wall. And he said 'Kandi you need to do something about your mother, you need to talk to your mama because she's disrespecting me, she's disrespecting Carmen and you need to talk to her,'" Jones recalled to the morning show.
"But he never once said, she's disrespecting you, she's disrespecting Riley, she's disrespecting this house, or she's disrespecting Georgia the dog. - If people would listen to what he says he should put Kandi and Riley first but he's going to put a paid employee before you put your fiancée and her daughter."
Mama Joyce previously defended herself against claims that she is only seeking financial gain while trying to break up her daughter's relationship.
"My only thing is that I love my daughter. I love my granddaughter, and only thing I've ever done was try to protect my daughter," she told EBONY magazine. "I've never been about her money because I have my own. I never tried to spend her money. I've always tried to save her money, help her save her money. And I just don't want her to let someone else waste what I've worked so hard to help her build."
