Kanye West Back on 'SNL,' Moving to Paris?
Kanye West has made headlines after reportedly planning to return the United States in order to appear on "Saturday Night Live" next month.
The "Runaway" rapper has not appeared on "SNL" since 2010, but reports Thursday indicate that could all change on May 18.
According to sources close to West, the rapper has been working on a new album in Paris, but will appear on "SNL" as a musical guest next month, reported Page Six.
Furthermore, the insiders hinted that the rapper is considering moving to Paris permanently.
In the meantime, many of West's fans would be happy to see the Grammy Award-winner back on "SNL," but the report has not been confirmed.
NBC has not commented on the May lineup for the late night comedy show, as the bookings have not yet been finalized. Also, musical guests are only made official when they are announced on the show.
"SNL" airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. EST.
Meanwhile, West is expecting his first child with girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who is due this July. However, he has received criticism for reportedly spending only 18 days with the pregnant reality television star since the pair announced the baby news last December.
In West's absence, Kardashian has been solitarily coping with the media's scrutiny over topics that range from her fashion choices to her relationship with the rapper.
Looking ahead, West is expected to release a new album soon, which is rumored to include features by Chief Keef, Daft Punk, and even Kim Kardashian.
When West appeared on "SNL" three years ago, he performed songs "Runaway" and "Power."
Among the possible songs West would perform if he does appear on "SNL" next month is his latest hit "Clique" and the rumored new song "I Am A God."
