Kanye West Changing Kim Kardashian, Wants Kate Middleton Look
Kim Kardashian's boyfriend Kanye West is reportedly encouraging the reality TV personality to change her look, insisting that she adopt a more natural look like Duchess Kate Middleton.
"Kate Middleton has influenced [Kim's] look while in London. Kate's amazing. We watched her wedding and we thought it was beautiful. Kim's style icon is Sophia Loren," Kardashian's make-up artist Rob Scheppy told the Daily Star.
"Kanye does like to get involved with Kim's look. He actually has a lot of input, he has amazing style so we take his opinions to heart and I say: 'OK, I'll try it,'" he added.
West, 34, recently accompanied Kardashian on a trip to London where the couple is working on separate projects and the rapper reportedly dislikes her heavy makeup.
"Kanye's not afraid to say what he likes. He definitely likes the less-is-more look. Everyone wants to look good for their man, so Kim will listen and say: 'OK. I'll go with what my boyfriend says,'" Scheppy explained.
Kardashian, 31, recently confirmed that she is in the process of toning down her makeup and fans suspect that she is giving in to West's demands.
"I think that I'm trying to definitely tone it down a little bit with the makeup. Every shoot I do, they let me put on the lashes and the heavy makeup," Kardashian said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show adding "It's a security blanket for me."
Although Kardashian is still legally married to NBA star Kris Humphries who she left after just 72 days of marriage, she and Kanye are said to be discussing marriage, according to reports.
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is reportedly pressuring her married daughter to marry West in a televised wedding in order to boost the family's fame and status.
"Kris Jenner is ecstatic that Kim is dating Kanye; she can see their celebrity stock and wealth rising by the day! She has already told Kim that if they make it down the aisle they are going to do it on camera again," a source close to the Kardashian family told Radar Online.
"You would think most moms would be keen for their daughter to take it slow, especially seeing as Kim's divorce still isn't finalized from the last fiasco," the insider added.
