Kanye West Gives Kim Kardashian His Last Name With New Gift – Ready for Marriage?
Kanye West is reportedly sharing his last name with girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who is still legally married to NBA player Kris Humphries.
West, 35-year-old rapper, reportedly purchased a gold skull statue complete with white gems for his 31-year-old reality television star girlfriend. However, the $34,000 price tag is not what has captured people's attention – it's the inscription engraved on the statue.
The gold statue is similar to West's Father's Day gift to friend and colleague Jay-Z, but has the letters "KKW" engraved on the back. Some have speculated that the initials stand for "Kim Kardashian West," a combination of the couple's last names.
Sources reportedly gave information about the statue to HipHollywood.com, who also reported that West was "inspired" by Michael Jackson, who gave a similar gift to the late actress Elizabeth Taylor.
Kardashian is a fan of Taylor's and purchased $65,000 worth of jewelry in the auctioning off of the late actress's belongings last December. However, West's latest gift may not come as a surprise to some who have heard rumors about the rapper thinking about a television wedding to the reality television star in the future.
"Kanye wouldn't be opposed to having a huge TV wedding," a source close to the rapper reportedly told HollywoodLife.com. "He'd do it just to prove his wedding to Kim would get more way more viewers than Prince William's wedding."
Another source close to the rapper reportedly told the website that West was serious about his current girlfriend.
"I don't think people understand how much he's into Kim. Like this (expletive) is for real," the source reportedly said. "He's always wanted her and now that he has her, it's a wrap! I never knew my boy Kanye to be the marrying type – but once Kim gets untangled from that (expletive) of a dude she married, she and Kanye just may go there."
