Rapper producer and aspiring fashion mogul Kanye West could drop his album as a surprise any day now, according to some recent reports.

Sources claim he wants to use the same strategy that Beyonce utilized for her last full length and even claims he had this idea a long time ago, but didn't use the sudden release with visuals for every song after hearing advice from his peers.

"He wanted to do a visual album for his 'Dark Twisted Fantasies' album, but everyone around him convinced him it wouldn't work," said an insider to Radar Online. "That's why he ended up doing one long movie to go with it [the 35-minute short film, 'Runaway']."

Beyonce's success with a surprise visual album left West "annoyed" and "defeated" since he ended up going the traditional route instead.

Another source also weighed in on Kanye's recording process and how a surprise release would benefit him.

"Kanye has been working hard on the album for a lot of this year, but he's known for cutting deadlines so it's better if he can just put it out at the last minute," said this source to the Sun.

Another question that looms over this next project is its sound and if he will continue on the experimental path he started with 2013's Yeezus. The project received mixed reviews with many fans despising it and critics offering it praise for its risk taking.

West has also been pretty vocal about his Christian faith in his recent interviews and was married by Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., a well-known evangelical figure who frequents on TBN's JUCE TV. He even featured Jesus in his Yeezus stage show. It wouldn't be that far of a stretch to expect him to discuss his beliefs more candidly on the new album.
