Kanye West Preaching on Tour, Insists He's Doing God's Work?

Kanye West has been vocal about his Christianity lately from speaking about his religion on his concert tour to speaking out against those who are trying to stop him from doing God's work.

West, the 36-year-old rap mogul, is engaged in his "Yeezus" tour, following his sixth studio album of the same name which was released earlier this year. During a recent tour stop at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., recently West did not shy away from speaking about his Christian faith.

"I'm not trying to force my religion on none of y'all," he told those attending the show, according to EEW magazine. "Of course I'm a Christian. If you come to my show, I'ma express who I am and I'ma express it just like if I was a 3-year-old [or] if I was a 2-year-old before I grew up and got jaded to what my real ideas are."

West sparked controversy when opening his tour in Seattle earlier this month after the rap mogul featured a figure resembling his idea of who Jesus Christ is. He told the Staples Center audience why he decided to make the controversial decision to move forward with the idea.

"People say 'Why you gone bring Jesus on the [stage]? How you gone do [that]…" West told his audience. "You know why? Because I thought of it and I did exactly what I thought to!"

The rap mogul recently quoted the biblical scripture Isaiah 54:17 when rebuking the website Media Takeout for calling his performance outfit weird.

"Man, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, you need to watch who ya'll talking about and ask for favor and please stay blessed because you do not want to go against the power," West said while on the radio show Big Boy's Neighborhood on Los Angeles' Power 106.

The rap mogul insists he's on a mission from God.

"I'm working on one mission and that's a mission from God, period," West said on Power 106. "So all this negative energy that ya'll throwing against me and this confusion that ya'll trying to put around me, I'm going to make it very clear exactly what I'm here to do and I'm going to apply all the blessings that I've got...all the info and creativity that I've got and I'm going to really help."
