Kanye West Turned Down Kris Jenner's Management Offer?
Kris Jenner, the Kardashian matriarch, reportedly wants to manage her daughter's rap mogul boyfriend Kanye West.
A source close to Jenner, 57, reportedly spoke to Radar Online about the Kardashian mother and manager having a desire to represent the rapper.
"Kris has wanted to manage someone of Kanye's stature and talent for a very long time," the source reportedly told Radar Online. "She feels that it could open even bigger doors for her career, and she is always looking to expand her client base. Kris has told Kanye that she would love to be his manager- even though he has a team in place.
The source went on to explain what in capacity Jenner would like to manage West's career.
"She said she would be willing to start out representing him in new endorsements and his personal life as it pertains to the reality shows … Kris reps Khloe's hubby, Lamar Odom in non-basketball matters," the insider reportedly told Radar Online. "Kanye politely declined though as he is extremely happy with his current manager, agent, etc. Kris took it well, but she will definitely approach Kanye again if she sees an opening."
However, 35-year-old West is not expected to give in to pressure, according to reports.
"Kanye won't be pressured into anything about his career by Kris," the source said. "He knows how to say no, and won't be pushed into anything. Look at the announcement of Kim's pregnancy, Kanye did that all on his own."
Although she has yet to respond to the reports that her mother is looking to manage West, Kim Kardashian defended her mother against rumors that she was overstepping her boundaries. There had been reports that the momager wanted West to take out a life insurance policy for their child.
"That is so ridiculous. We haven't even thought of stuff like that. My mom, she knows her place. That's nothing she would even talk to Kanye about," Kardashian said on the Shade 45 radio show "Sway In The Morning" last month. "It's so crazy that people even make up these things. No one calls to fact check. It's ridiculous."
