Kate Gosselin Tell-All Book: Gosselin Wanted to Be 'Working Mom's Martha Stewart'?

More shocking details about the tell-all book, "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, The Rise and Fall of a Reality TV Queen" has emerged when the book was finally released in June after Gosselin's efforts to stop the book from being published.

The book's author, reporter Robert Hoffman, claims to have followed the "Kate Plus 8" reality star and obtained confidential information from her hard drive allegedly with the help of her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, and from Kate's own journal entries.

The book details how Gosselin was apparently obsessed with fame and fortune and had a perfect master plan to have multiple births. Hoffman revealed how Gosselin allegedly sought the help of an "African doctor" to manipulate her fertility treatments in order to get pregnant with sextuplets.

"What I discovered is that Kate Gosselin deliberately and intentionally got pregnant with two sets of multiples in order to become the working mom's Martha Stewart. Her eight children were mere props— pawns in her game to accumulate as much wealth and notoriety as she could," Hoffman writes.

The book also mentions how Gosselin allegedly tried to copy Stewart's success by producing a cookbook that was ultimately cancelled by her book publisher when they learned that her recipes weren't original.

It also detailed how Gosselin "regularly abuses her children" by using a "spanker" until the kids are "happy again." Instances of animal abuse were also mentioned in the book, saying that Gosselin would regularly hit the two family dogs with "a stick, a spoon, a tube, or whatever else she had to discipline the dogs for minor infractions … like tracking mud into the basement."

There are also claims that Gosselin never played with her children and that she was fond of drinking alcohol.

One reviewer said that the book was "absolutely chilling" and "will make you so mad."

Whether the child abuse rumors are true or not, Gosselin has previously admitted to leading a hectic and stressful lifestyle, which was exacerbated by the constant negative media attention surrounding her divorce.
