Kate Hudson Claims to See 'Dead People' in Real Life
Actress Kate Hudson and her mother Goldie Hawn are now claiming that they can see what they believe to be spirits.
"Me and my mum Goldie can see dead people," Hudson told radio host Alan Carr during a recent segment. "It is not really seeing, it is feeling a spirit. A fifth energy. I believe in energy. I believe our brains can manifest into visual things."
Hudson and her mother are both spiritual, not necessarily tied down to one religious practice. Both have been associated with Judaism and Buddhism.
"Mum is a Buddhist," she told the Mail Online in 2011. "She has taught me to look at life as lessons to be learned: we all experience love and disappointment, laughter and pain. Her philosophy has stopped me from becoming cynical, which squashes the good things. If you focus on positivity and honesty, you'll be happy."
Hudson has been quite vocal about her spiritual views, which have seen her labeled as a hippie or flower-child. As for dealing with the supernatural realm, the actress also recently shared advice based on her "experiences."
"When you see something, you are supposed to tell the energy what year it is and that they don't belong there," Hudson said. "When your brain is freaking out on you, you may have to remind it. Why is being dead funny?"
She also described seeing what she believed to be the ghost of a woman who had no face, which she called "really creepy."
Hudson is currently busy promoting her new film "Wish I Was Here," where she plays Zach Braff's wife. However, in real life, she is planning a wedding to Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy; the couple has a three-year-old son and Hudson has a 10-year-old son from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson.
