Kate Hudson, Zach Braff Team Up on Kickstarter Movie

The actor is set to direct "Wish I Was Here" as well as star as Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband weathering a midlife crisis, according to Deadline.
Braff will star opposite of Hudson, who portrays his wife in the indie film.
Tapping the "How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days" star was easy for Braff, who said he "fell in love with" Hudson following her Oscar-nominated portrayal of Penny Lane in the film "Almost Famous."
Furthermore, Hudson and Braff are "good friends," the actor revealed, according to Reuters.
Other actors who have already joined the cast of "Wish I Was Here" include Anna Kendrick, Jim Parsons, Mandy Patinkinand, Josh Gad and Braff's "Scrubs" co-star, Donald Faison.
Hudson has recently appeared in "The Reluctant Fundamentalist," "Something Barrowed," as well as on the television series "Glee."
Alternately, Braff is best known for his role on the long-running television series "Scrubs," but also made his directorial debut with "Garden State" in 2004. The film has gained a cult following and was praised by critics.
Meanwhile, Kickstarter is a website that allows users to spread information and collect backing as well as crowd funding for their independently created projects.
"Our mission is to help bring creative projects to life," the website reads. The New York City-based for-profit company has funded an array of different projects including video games and movies.
