Kate Middleton Expecting Baby Girl?

Kate Middleton may have accidentally revealed the gender of her and Prince William's first child during a royal engagement in England on Tuesday, March 5.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 31, visited the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby where she was greeted by 2,000 wellwishers. At one point she was given a white teddy bear by local, Diane Burton.

"Thank you, I'll take that for my d--" Middleton politely replied, cutting herself off mid-sentence, the Daily Mail reported.

While onlookers assumed Middleton was about to say "daughter," the Duchess remained coy and revealed she and the Duke of Cambridge, 30, are not revealing their baby's gender.

Sandra Cook, 67, who waited hours to meet Middleton, also claimed to have heard the alleged slip-up.

"The lady next to me gave her a teddy bear and I distinctly heard her say 'Thank you, I will take that for my d....," Cook told the Daily Mail.

"I said to her: 'You were going to say daughter weren't you?'" Cook said. "[Kate said]: 'No, we don't know!' I said: 'Oh, I think you do' to which she replied: 'We're not telling!'"

Various sources insist that the royal couple is yet to determine the sex of their baby, which is due in July.

"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," a St James' Palace spokesman said. "The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month."

Middleton reportedly began undergoing hypnotherapy treatments in recent months in a bid to ease her morning sickness, following her Dec. 3 hospitalization. While her health is said to be improving daily, she is hoping that hypnotherapy will help relieve the hyperemesis gravidarum (sever morning sickness) entirely, according to Australia's New Idea Magazine.

"Kate still looks at food and feels nauseous. She's been plagued with that feeling you have when you've had food poisoning and your stomach's shrunk. She finds it very hard to eat a full meal and gets full very quickly," Jessica Jay, an alleged friend of Middleton's, told New Idea.

"The hypnotherapy is taking away any negative thoughts connected with food from the morning sickness, and replacing them with cravings for healthy, nutritious food," she explained.
