Kate Middleton Morning Sickness Solution: Prince William Reveals Wife's Remedy To Fight Hyperemesis Gravidarum

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third child. This means that she has to go through all the childbearing pains once again, including her notorious case of morning sickness called the hyperemesis gravidarum.

Reports revealed that the Duchess' husband Prince William chatted with 98-year-old Iris Orrell during the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund's charity reception and awards ceremony where the next-in-line to the British throne recently became a Patron.

According to the reports, Orrell told the prince that she also experienced hyperemesis gravidarum when she became pregnant with her three boys. She also told him that she was advised to eat dry biscuits to alleviate the symptoms.

However, the Duke of Cambridge confessed that his wife already tried that remedy but it did not work for her. "Ginger biscuits," The prince stated. "But there's not much ginger can do to stop that. We've done all that."

Based on reports, ginger is recognized as a natural morning sickness remedy because of its gingerols and shogaols components that neutralize stomach acids. This helps in relieving a person's nausea and vomiting.

This is not the first time that the Duchess suffered from an aggravated form of morning sickness during her pregnancy. She also reportedly experienced the same condition when she was pregnant with Prince George who was born on July 22, 2013, as well as in her second pregnancy with Princess Charlotte who was born on May 2, 2015.

The Duchess' morning sickness caused her to miss several important events, including Prince George's first day of school. She also had to cancel a lot of public engagements. However, other reports claimed that Middleton will soon become visible again in the limelight in an upcoming event for World Mental Health Day together with her husband and brother-in-law Prince Harry at the Buckingham Palace scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
