Kate Middleton Prepares iPod Playlist for Royal Birth? Songs Feature Bruno Mars, Calvin Harris

Kate Middleton is gearing up to give birth to a royal heir in coming days and a new report claims the Duchess of Cambridge is preparing a music playlist to ease the labor process.

Currently in her third trimester, Middleton, 31, is said to be doing last-minute planning as she and prince William, 30, prepare for the birth of their first child. She will reportedly listen to chart-topping pop hits during labor, according to Eonline.com.

"She has been filling her iPod with music she wants playing while she's in labor," a source told E! News. "The other day she downloaded some of Bruno Mars, Calvin Harris and Of Monsters and Men."

In April the Duchess revealed that her first child is due "around mid-July," when asked by news reporters in Glasgow, adding "but babies have their own agenda." A new report suggests that Middleton may have followed the late Princess Diana's lead by possibly telling the press that the baby is due weeks after the actual due date, according to The Daily Telegraph.

In 1982 Princess Diana reportedly announced that her first born son, William, was due on her birthday, July 1, but he was born more than one week prior on June 21, igniting speculation that she may have deliberately thrown off the media to protect her privacy.

Middleton will reportedly have a natural birth in the Lindo wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington. The exclusive maternity suite reportedly costs an estimated $7,000 for a one-night stay with normal delivery, according to The Daily Mirror U.K.

The Duchess, who is yet to learn the sex of her unborn baby, is said to be contemplating hypnobirthing, which seeks to alleviate the pain of child birth. The unique birthing method, which is said to be popular amongst Hollywood stars, often reduces the need for an epidural.

"Kate's very excited about the idea of hypnobirth," a source told Now magazine. "She's exploring lots of options but thinks it sounds very interesting."
