Kate Upton in GQ July 2012: 'I See Why the Church is Upset With Me' (PHOTOS)
The newest, most coveted model to hit the scene is no high fashion model at all, but rather Kate Upton, the YouTube discovery girl that likes to dance and turn heads.
Kate Upton was recently revealed as the cover girl for the July issue of GQ magazine. The model's fame has rapidly risen since her YouTube Dougie video, resulting in her landing the coveted cover Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, in addition to a number of other shoots and now GQ magazine.
While Upton may have built up a serious male fan base, there are many who don't quite approve of the sprite young model's barely there attire. Upton recently appeared in the film "The Three Stooges" with one scene revealing the model wearing a practically non-existent "nun-kini."
"I can see why the Catholic Church would be upset with me," she told GQ. "But it was just for fun, and I try not to take it more seriously than that."
Even when Upton attempts to be discreet, she seems to fail, according to the model who admitted to an "embarrassing" wardrobe malfunction while she was on the GQ photo shoot.
"For the GQ photo shoot, we were on the ride where the seat spins while the actual ride is spinning, and I'm wearing a one-piece," Upton recalled. "And all of a sudden the whole entire top falls off! I'm holding myself, laughing, turning bright red, but a lot of people are watching, so they kicked us out of the Santa Monica Pier - it was so embarrassing."
Even some of Upton's possible male suitors seemed to think much too much of the blonde- and not in a good way.
"Cheap floozies are cheap floozies, and that's all. Give me a steady, intelligent, modest and warmhearted woman any day," Rick H. wrote on the GQ blog.
