Kate Upton Prom Invite Goes Viral (VIDEO)
Kate Upton has received a unique invitation to the prom via YouTube this week.
The 20-year-old model is just out of high school, but has a chance to attend a prom with Los Angeles high school student Jake Davidson this May.
In the clip posted to YouTube, Davidson makes a great effort to convince Upton to attend his prom with a short film including segments that reveal his personality.
"You're the ying to my yang, I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day, and I can't dance at all," explained the teen in the 2-minute video.
"You're Christian, 5'10" and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for best short film- you could say this is destiny," Davidson continued in his appeal to Upton.
Meanwhile, Upton has not yet responded to Davidson's invitation. The video has garnered over 20,000 views since its post on Sunday.
The model is not the first celebrity to receive a special invitation from a fan. Last year, Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis each attended a Marine Corps Ball after being asked by Marines via YouTube.
Corporal Kelsey De Santis invited Timberlake to the Marines Birthday Ball in Richmond, Va. in a post to YouTube. After accepting the invitation and attending the ball, Timberlake shared his touching experience.
"I'm writing this out to all of you after attending an event that turned out to be one of the most moving evenings I've ever had," the "Cry Me A River" singer wrote on his website at the time.
The former N'Sync band member was inspired by the passion De Santis has for her career in the Marines as well as her consideration for him during the event.
"I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23-year-old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable," wrote Timberlake. "It hit me all of the sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom… Humble, concerned for others before themselves… This was the type of person out Marine Corps was building."
