Katherine Webb Kisses A.J. McCarron After Denying Split Reports (VIDEO)

Katherine Webb, Miss Alabama USA 2012, was photographed giving Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron a congratulatory kiss on Saturday, after his team defeated Mississippi 25-0.

The 24year-old reigning Miss Alabama and McCarron, 23, shared an awkward embrace after the Crimson Tide player took a victory lap over to his proud parents. On Sept. 20 RadarOnline.com quoted Webb's mother as saying the pair had called it quits after one year of dating, however a rep for the model recently denied split reports.

"No they have not split. [The story] is incorrect and false," the rep told Daily Mail UK adding: "They are still together and fine."

In January Webb became an Internet sensation after ESPN reporters gave her a personal shout out during the BCS National Championship. The former "Splash" star was present simply to watch McCarron and his team defeat Notre Dame, however she appeared to be a distraction for some after she was picked up by ESPN cameras during the first quarter and then consistently thereafter throughout the game.

"Wow, I'm telling you quarterbacks: You get all the good-looking women," announcer Brent Musburger said as the camera focused on Webb, sitting with McCarron's mother.

"What a beautiful woman. Wow!" he went on. "If you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with pop."

Minutes later, Webb's Twitter following soared, and the model gained tens of thousands of followers, some of which were celebrity admirers. NBA star LeBron James was reportedly amongst the thousands who flocked to follow Webb, according to Daily Mail.

"My followers went from 2,300 this morning to 96,000 by the end of the night. I don't know if I should even check now, I don't know what is going on," a baffled Webb told Yahoo! Sports.

"I guess [Musburger] said something but I don't know what it was because I haven't seen it," she went on adding. "Oh Lord. This is the first time that's kind of ever happened for me. I've never dated someone who's actually been in the spotlight, so it's a new thing for me."
