Katy Perry Married: Singers Says She'll Keep 'Popping Out' Babies if it Doesn't Hurt
Katy Perry was on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" today and spoke about wanting to start a family with her husband Russell Brand.
Last month was the couple's one-year anniversary. While on the show, DeGeneres asked Perry about any future baby plans to which the singer responded: "I would love to have children. I think that's one of the reasons you get married, and especially to the person that you marry. You think, Hmmm, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent. But I'm not sure it's yet. We'll see, you know?"
The talk show host then asked the pop star whether she had plans to have more than one child amidst humorous banter.
"If it doesn't hurt the first time, I'll keep popping them out," Perry said. To which DeGeneres replied: "Word around town is it hurts. But people keep doing it anyway - they don't care."
Perry told the host she and Brand are able to have a strong relationship despite their busy schedules, because they don't allow themselves to go more than two weeks without seeing each other.
The singer goes on to talk about her wedding that was a "private and spiritual ceremony" in India.
"I don't mind. My wedding has turned into kind of a myth. It's kind of cool," she said. "We kept it kind of private, so when we heard some of the things that were going around we were like, 'Ah, that's hilarious.’"
The star told MTV News she found all the rumors and speculations about her wedding hysterical.
The singer will be doing a free performance at the Staples Center Nov. 23 in Los Angeles to wrap up the “California Dreams” tour.
"I want to finish it off by renting out Staples (Center) myself and giving a free concert to anyone in the world that wants to come to the ‘California Dreams’ tour as my last show,” Perry added.
