Katy Perry Sings for Obama, Flaunts Supportive Nail Art
Katy Perry has revealed her support for Barack Obama after performing at a fundraising event with Democratic nail art featuring the president's face and patriotic colors.
The "Part of Me" singer took the stage in Los Angeles on Sunday ahead of November's presidential election. Perry's support of Obama's re-election was evident when the star tweeted a photo of her special manicure.
"Appropriate nails," wrote the singer, along with a photo of different fingernails painted with the Democratic symbol: plenty of red, white, and blue and President Obama's face.

Earlier in the day, she had posted, "Today I am so honored to play for the President!"
The "California Gurlz" singer later posted, "I sang for President @BarackObama last night because I believe in Equal Rights #ForAll #Vote," and added a picture of herself with "Equal Rights" written on her hand placed over her heart.
Moreover, the star-studded night saw Perry sing her hit song "Firework" while donning a tight-fitted gold and white dress.
The concert and fundraister also saw Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, and Stevie Wonder. The president arrived at L.A.'s Nokia Theater for the concert and also attended several other events in the area on Sunday.
Following her performance for President Obama, Perry attended toe VIP premiere of L.A.'s Haunted Hayride at Griffith Park, according to The Los Angeles Times. She donned the same leather jacket over a floral dress and black hat she was seen in during the political fundraiser.
Meanwhile, as Perry's musical career continues to skyrocket, the singer's personal life has also made headlines recently. The 8-time Grammy Award nominee split from husband Russell Brand earlier this year and has been rumored to be in a relationship with singer John Mayer.
