"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, a new beginning it a must," Perry posted to Twitter on Monday along with a video featuring her iconic candy wheel costume strewn atop a coffin.

Another tweet read, "We don't need no water let the blue baby burn," that included a clip of Perry's famed blue wig being burned.

A third video promoting "Roar" featured a video entitled "Roar- From a Meow to a Roar," where a cat eats feathers and lets out a powerful snarl.

"Roar" will appear on her new album "Prism," which will hit stores on Oct. 23. Watch Katy Perry's promotion videos on Vevo here.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old "Firework" singer recently discussed the challenges that led up to her forthcoming album while speaking to Vogue magazine.

"Of course I get fazed," Perry admitted of her widespread fame that includes six Billboard no. 1 hits on her "Teenage Dream" album alone.

"When I am in between records, sometimes I doubt myself," she added. "I'll be like, 'Did I just get lucky, or did I mass-manipulate the world into thinking that seven songs were worth the number-one position?'"

Despite the fleeting doubts and fears, Perry said being immersed in her work always inspires the comeback of confidence.

"And then I go back into the studio and I start writing, and the true essential oil of who I am comes bubbling back up and reminds me that it's always been inside of me, that nobody can take this away no matter what comment anyone makes," the singer ascertained. "It's going to be there because it's what I was born with and it's what I've worked on my whole life."

As for Perry's personal life, the singer has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with John Mayer for the past year. The musicians have reportedly collaborated on Mayer's next album "Paradise Valley," due in stores Aug. 20.
