Kellan Lutz Oscar Claim: 'I'll Win an Oscar Someday'
Kellan Lutz has said that he will win an Oscar someday, and has said he doesn't care if it takes him 50 years to do it. The Twilight star has insisted his acting career is permanent and he is not going anyway, according to reports.
With the final installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn Part 2, set to come out next month some had thought that Lutz might disappear into the long list of one-hit wonders, and that he would only be famous for his part in the popular vampire movie franchise.
However, Lutz has assured fans he is in it for the long haul and that he wants to act for the rest of his life.
The 27 year old said to DuJour magazine: "I want to act for the rest of my life. I'll win an Oscar one day, but I'm in no rush to get there. I don't care if that takes me 50 years, and I'm old. I just love what I do."
However, if acting does go belly up then he also does have an alternative live - chemical engineering. The actor has said that chemistry was another big love in his life.
He has even called chemistry "his biggest passion in life" and revealed he has two patent-pending inventions in the process.
"It's great because acting has given me the resources and platform to help charities but also the money to create my inventions and pay for the patent process. Attorneys aren't cheap!" he said.
Lotz already has more movies lined up for release next year, and will be seen in a Tarzan remake.
Speaking about the Twlight saga coming to an end he said, "It really is bittersweet. It's very much like high school...and I'm ready to graduate."
But he said the moment would be special, "This is such a special moment in my life. I really just want to experience it with the people who mean the most to me."
