Kelly Clarkson on Beyonce: 'God Did Good'

Kelly Clarkson has taken to Twitter after delivering an awe-inspiring performance in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day.

Despite her endorsement for presidential candidate Ron Paul, the "American Idol" alumni offered her rendition of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee."

Moreover, Clarkson's performance arrived just minutes before Beyonce Knowles took the stage to perform the "Star Spangled Banner."

After President Obama's public swearing-in and performances, Clarkson updated her thousands of Twitter followers about her encounter with Beyonce.

"Me and B just hangin' out," posted the singer, including a photo of herself with Beyonce. "Don't worry about it. Seriously, God did good. She is so beautiful!"

Furthermore, the singer shared her inaugural experience via the micro blogging site.

"Wow.. I was incredibly nervous and cold ha," started the singer. "I just wanna officially thank President Obama for opening for me haha! Just kidding : )"

Clarkson's emotional rendition of the patriotic song won her praise on the social media site on Monday.

"Kelly Clarkson might be the most genuine singer ever," Greg wrote on Twitter. "She always seems to appreciative of being where she is. A national treasure, really."

Miles added, "Geez. @Kelly_Clarkson's performance was UNREAL. I clapped and shouted. By myself. It was a little weird."

Country music singer Jennifer Nettles added, "Way to go @kelly_Clarkson!!! Beautiful job. Nailed it!!!"

Meanwhile, Clarkson continued to share about her experience in D.C.

"What an honor to be a part of history," the singer posted to Twitter on Monday. "Obama's presence was powerful and his words unforgettable. It's a proud day for America!"

She later added a photo of herself with President Obama and the caption, "Maybe the coolest photo I've ever been in… ever : )"

Inauguration Day occurs every four years on Jan. 20, but because the event landed on a Sunday this year, the Federal holiday overlapped with Martin Luther King Day on Monday. The rare intersection made for a very memorable event that also included performances by Katy Perry, Usher, and John Legend at Inaugural events.
