The singer was once engaged to former NFL player Roy Williams. However when the talk show host attempted to inquire about her old flame, Rowland was less than willing to speak about him.

"Been there, done that. Ex talk is ex talk, don't want to go there. It's not worth talking about," Rowland told the talk show host. "Sorry. He doesn't need all of that."

Although Rowland maintains that she is happy in her current relationship, her recent musical release "Dirty Laundry" gives fans some insight into an abusive situation with a former love interest.

"Started to call them people on him, I was battered / He hit the window like it was me until it shattered," Rowland sings on "Dirty Laundry." "He pulled me out and said 'Don't nobody love you but me not yo mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey' / He turned me against my sister, I missed her."

While Rowland refuses to identify who she is addressing in the record, she did let Williams know that she is with a good man now.

"I'm 32 now [...]," Rowland told Williams. "He's just a good guy and I'm just very happy above anything."

Rowland's "Talk A Good Game" is her fourth studio album and was released June 18.
