Kerry Washington Cradles Baby Bump at Golden Globes; Stays Mum on Due Date (VIDEO)
Kerry Washington debuted her baby bump at the 71st annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday, confirming speculation that she is pregnant with her first child.
The "Scandal" actress, 36, appeared radiant and happy while posing for baby bump photos on the red carpet. Washington, who is married to NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha, was nominated for best actress in a TV series – drama.
"I have the best date of the night — my little accessory," Washington joked to E!'s Ryan Seacrest as she gestured to her bump according to People magazine.

The Hollywood star opted for a cream-colored Balenciaga gown which she paired with Casadei sandals and Fred Leighton jewels. Asomugha, who retired from football in December, was noticeably absent.
"I feel he designed it more for this bump, which I'm really happy with," she said of Spanish designer by Cristóbal Balenciaga who custom designed her couture gown.
The actress stayed mum on her due date and she revealed that the sex of her and 32-year-old Asomugha's unborn baby is "a surprise."
In October Washington, who got married in June in Hailey, Idaho, was rumored to be pregnant ahead of her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig. She gushed about her marriage, pregnancy, hit TV show and her Golden Globes nomination.
"I feel like, I just feel very blessed. Life is truly extraordinary right now," she said. "We owe everything to our fans. Our gladiators on Twitter and on Facebook and they really have made us (at 'Scandal') what we are. So we are so grateful."
The notoriously private actress previously explained her decision not to openly discuss her personal life during an interview with Glamour magazine. Washington was once engaged to actor David Moscow, but the pair split in 2007 .
"I've had earlier times in my career when I did talk about [my personal life]. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine. But I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.' So I just thought, 'OK, no more,'" she told Glamour.
"I'm walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you," she continued. "But I'm going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold."
