Kevin Federline Hospital Stint Ends Following 'Heart Attack' Scare
Kevin Federline has been released from hospital after suffering what doctors initially reported as a heart attack. Tests have confirmed, though, that Federline suffered from chest pains and not an actual heart attack.
Federline, who is currently filming a reality TV series in Australia, first complained about chest pains and a racing heart. A spokesperson for Australia's Channel Nine told reporters that during a challenge for "Excess Baggage," a series similar to "The Biggest Loser," Federline was seen by medics "for the first signs of a minor cardiac arrest, called an ambulance and had him taken to hospital."
Now, however, doctors are reporting that he did not suffer a heart attack but rather chest pains. He was released from the hospital last night and will see a cardiologist before returning to film "Baggage" on Friday.
Fremantle Media, producers for "Baggage" issued the following statement: "Kevin Federline has been given the all-clear after spending the day in medical care… After more tests, he was released late last night. Kevin is now at home with his family and will undergo further investigation with a cardiologist today. He is expected to be back on set Friday."
This is not the first time Federline has been hospitalized while filming in Australia. In November, he was treated and released for "heat stress" and continued his work with the show. "Baggage" is not the first weight-loss series he has appeared on. Federline has also competed on VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" with the hope of losing 30 pounds.
Federline is the 33-year-old former husband of Brittney Spears and has five children, two with Spears. He is currently in a relationship with Victoria Prince, and they have one daughter.
