'Kevin (Probably) Saves the World' Season 1 Episode 2 Spoilers: Titular Character's Random Act of Kindness Goes Awry

Kevin Finn's (Jason Ritter) life was in shambles when he decided to go back home to Austin, Texas and live with his widowed twin sister, Amy Cabrera (JoAnna Garcia Swisher). However, the arrival of a celestial being named Yvette (Kimberly Herbert Gregory) is about to change his life in the most unexpected ways on ABC's new drama-comedy series, "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World."

As it is, each generation of humans brings forth 36 righteous souls tasked with the duty of protecting the rest of humanity merely by existing. But at the moment, there is only the reluctant Kevin on whose hands now lies the fate of mankind.

The order must be restored, and in order to do this, Kevin will have to go anoint 35 new souls by way of a hug. And although he didn't quite warm up to it at first, an encounter with a hardworking deaf man at the airport, Kevin changed his mind and is now all set to do his part to protect the world.

But since he has to first build up his spiritual power in order to better detect a righteous soul, Kevin's days will be spent performing random acts of kindness and selflessness. His good intentions, however, are bound to go horribly awry as shown in an exclusive teaser clip shared by TV Line.

Moreover, the summary for the episode also hints at Kevin rekindling an old flame, but this upcoming reunion is about to lead to some very unexpected consequences. Amy's struggles to understand her brother's increasingly odd behaviors will also continue. Will she soon find out what is really going on with Kevin, or will Yvette and his mission remain a secret and burden that is all his to bear and keep?

"Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" airs on Tuesdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
