Khloe Kardashian: 'I May Never Understand'
Khloe Kardashian-Odom, the reality television star and wife to troubled NBA free agent Lamar Odom, is continuing to showcase her emotions in cryptic tweets amid the troubling headlines concerning her husband.
Odom, 33, has made headlines in recent weeks for allegedly stepping out on his marriage and battling with a drug addiction that he allegedly only checked into a rehabilitation center for one day to treat. While Kardashian-Odom, 29, has yet to address the matter directly she has been writing cryptic tweets while more speculation emerges about her troubled husband each day.
"I may never understand…," she wrote in a recent tweet.
While various media outlets have published conflicting reports about the type of drug addiction Odom is suffering from, his wife has only shared her feelings about the matter publicly on Twitter thus far.
"Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk (expletive) about my family," Kardashian-Odom tweeted last month. "(Expletive) you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this (expletive)!"
Odom has previously revealed that he had a harsh upbringing including facing the death of his mother when he was just 12, and father who was a heroin addict.
"My father's a heroin addict," Odom said during an episode of the reality television show with his wife, "Khloe & Lamar." "I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn't around...I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn't supposed to see..."
Still, the free agent seems to have the support of his fellow NBA players. Kevin Durant, the Oklahoma City Thunder forward, was recently questioned about players in the league supporting Odom during his tough times.
"Yea no doubt," Durant told TMZ reporters last month. "It's a brotherhood."
John Wall, the Washington Wizards point guard, seemed to express the same support for Odom amid media speculation.
"I just hope he figures it out," Wall told TMZ. "That's it."
Odom averaged 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 82 games for the Clippers last season.
His agent Jeff Schwartz insisted that he is still planning to continue his professional basketball career.
"Playing in the NBA is still very much a part of Lamar's plans," Schwartz told ESPN.
