Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom in Couple's Therapy? 'It Was Very Emotional'
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom reportedly attended a couple's therapy session in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage.
The pair, who separated in August, sat down with a marriage counselor in Beverly Hills on Nov. 8 and discussed the problems surrounding their four-year marriage, according to Us magazine.
"It was very emotional. They spoke about all of their issues," a source told Us. "Khloe still loves and cares about him but healing will take a long time."
The estranged couple reportedly drove to the marriage counselor's office separately. Kardashian is currently living at the pair's Tarzana, Calif., marital home while Odom is living elsewhere.
The reality TV star, 29, is believed to have separated from her NBA star husband, 33, in the wake of cheating rumors and drug addiction reports. She fueled divorce speculation in October when she abruptly dropped her marital name from social networking sites.
In July, a woman identified as Jennifer Richardson claimed to have engaged in an extramarital affair with Odom. Weeks later Polina Polonsky, who is a criminal defense attorney, made similar claims and Kardashian is said to be devastated.
"With both mistresses coming out, she can't handle much more. If more women come forward, she will do it," an alleged friend previously told Life & Style magazine about the possibility of divorce.
"Khloe is a strong girl but the cheating rumors have really worn her down," another friend revealed. "She is humiliated and pissed off."
Despite the drama surrounding their marriage, Kardashian and Odom are believed to have made progress during their private session. The father of two is reportedly in good health and focused on saving his marriage.
"[Lamar] is clean and has gained 20 pounds. He's doing so much better," a source said.
Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner recently opened up about her daughter's emotional state in the wake of separation reports. The E! Star is said to be "sensitive" as she continues to deal with her strained marriage to Odom, but Jenner described her as bring "resilient" and "strong," according to E! News.
"She's very sensitive and she loves really hard and she feels with all of her soul," Jenner told E! News. "But she also has the ability to put that game face on and go out there in the world and do what she needs to do ... she is resilient but she is very strong."
