Khloe Kardashian Not Ready to Take Hormone Treatments For Childbirth

Khloe Kardashian-Odom, the 28-year-old reality television star, has been vocal about her fertility issues and recently said she was in no rush to take the hormones she would need in order to have a child.

Kardashian-Odom, the wife of NBA player Lamar Odom, has revealed her issues with fertility on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," and the multiple spin-off series featuring her family. However, the reality television star opened up even further about waiting to take hormonal treatments that would be required for her to have a child in the June issue of Cosmopolitan U.K.magazine.

"I just wanted to be, 'Hey, let's have a baby,' and we would just have one. Kourtney did. And I wish that was the way for me," Kardashian-Odom told Cosmopolitan recently. "But it won't be. I'll have to take hormones. I do want to have a baby, but I don't feel the urgency to have one this very moment."

Kardashian-Odom's older sister Kourtney, a 33-year-old mother of two, was upset to hear about her 28-year-old sister's own fertility issues on an episode of "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami" that aired earlier this year. After Kardashian-Odom opened up about her fertility issues, the pair's sister Kim, 32, even suggested that the eldest of the three act as a surrogate for the younger Kardashian sibling.

Despite the offers that she received from her family members, Kardashian told her sisters that she and her NBA player husband were not giving up on carrying their own children just yet. Still, she gave fans and her family intimate details about her struggles with fertility.

"About a year ago, we were like, 'Let's just see what happens.' And then when it didn't happen, Kim was like, 'Let's go to the doctor,'" Kardashian-Odom revealed on the show. "I found out I don't ovulate, and now my uterus lining isn't thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus lining thicker. If that doesn't get thicker, then I cannot carry a baby."

After Kardashian-Odom revealed the details about her fertility issues, her older sister Kourtney revealed that the matter saddened her.

"I overhear Khloe talking about her pregnancy drama, and she never really talks to me about it anymore," Kourtney said on the show. "I kind of don't really ask her, because I don't want to always bother her. It just makes me sad that she has to struggle with getting pregnant."
