Khloe Kardashian Slams 'Heartbreaking' Cheating Rumors; Will Prenup Ensure $7 Million Divorce Settlement?
Khloe Kardashian broke her silence on Wednesday five days after she filed for divorce from Lamar Odom.
The reality TV star, 29, expressed grief and frustration in a candid tweet shared with her 8 million Twitter followers. Kardashian alluded to rumors surrounding her four-year marriage to Odom while pleading for them to stop.
"This, in and of itself, is heart breaking and torture to my soul. Please, I don't need the extra rumors and BS right now," Kardashian tweeted on Dec. 18.
The E! star, who is yet to publicly address her divorce from the NBA veteran, appeared to address new reports suggesting that she was unfaithful during her marriage.
Kardashian and Odom, 33, separated in August in the wake of drug addiction rumors and cheating reports on his part. Sources claim the Los Angeles Clippers star suspects that his estranged wife may have began a romantic relationship with MLB star Matt Kemp while he was still trying to salvage their marriage.
"Lamar feels betrayed because Khloe was telling him she wanted to save the marriage and he was really trying to do so," a source close to Odom told RadarOnline.com.
"He was far from the perfect husband, but Lamar genuinely thought there was a chance to save the relationship," the insider continued. "Khloe always told Lamar she was only friends with Matt, but friends have been telling him that she had been hooking up with Kemp for months."
Kardashian and Kemp, who once dated pop star Rihanna, were photographed driving alongside one another in Los Angeles on the same day that she filed for divorce, but they are believed to be just good friends.
The reality TV star and Odom wed in 2009, just one month after they first met. In July, two women accused the father of two of having an extramarital affair which prompted his separation from Kardashian.
A new report claims she is set to receive an estimated $7 million as part of her upcoming divorce settlement.
The couple reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement which ensures that Kardashian will get to keep their $4 million Tarzana marital home and her $1 million engagement ring in addition to a $2 mill'ion cash payout. She will be paid $500,000 for ever year that she was married.
"Khloe and Lamar have nothing to worry about as far as finances. Their prenup is ironclad," a source told Us magazine.
