Kim Fields Pregnant With Second Son

Actress Kim Fields recently revealed that she is pregnant with her second child, a son she plans to name Quincy Xavier. Fields is 44 and has a 6-year-old son with her husband, Christopher Morgan.

"It was planned," Fields told People magazine. "Sebastian [her son] and Christopher are very excited. We've actually been trying for a couple of years. We had gotten pregnant twice and miscarried. Chris and I were very blessed to have one another, to have our family and friends and our God to really get us through that."

Fields became known for her role as Tootie on the "Facts of Life," which saw her grow up in front of the cameras. After having a few guest roles on series, she moved on to her next serious stint as Regine Hunter on "Living Single." She also starred in 2012's film "What to Expect When You're Expecting."

She and Morgan welcomed Sebastian in 2007 and revealed that his nickname is Sam, as well as the fact that Fields had a very easy pregnancy and delivery.

"I didn't have one day of sickness… I'm fully aware that women are jealous," Fields told People at the time. "I don't know why God smiled on me, but I'm grateful as all get out that he did."

Fields and Morgan married after Sebastian was born. They have been inseparable ever since and have supported one another through all of the ups and downs of life in the entertainment industry as well as trying to have a family. Of course, Fields' age may have played a role in delaying pregnancy, but she said she hopes to be "encouraging" to those trying to have a child.

"Funny enough, for a minute I thought I was getting pre-menopausal 'cuz certain things were starting to be irregular and then other symptoms started – my memory and I was clumsier than normal, which I couldn't even believe was possible. Then our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. Chris said, 'No, babe, you're a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out,' and I said, 'Okay.' They tested me and said, 'Oh honey, you're not dehydrated. You're two months pregnant,'" Fields said.

Baby Quincy is due in early December.
