Kim Kardashian Baby at Risk? Reality Star Stressed After Kris Humphries Delays Divorce
Kris Humphries recently filed legal documents to delay his upcoming divorce trial against Kim Kardashian, and a new report suggests that the subsequent stress is now threatening to harm the reality TV star's unborn child.
The NBA star, who was left blindsided when Kardashian filed for divorce in 2011 after just 72 days, reportedly claims that he is not ready for trial because key witnesses have not yet been deposed. His attorney Marshall Waller has allegedly requested records from Ryan Seacrest Productions, E! Entertainment Productions, and Bunim-Murray Productions, but they are yet to receive any, according to RadarOnline.com.
Humphries, 28, has rejected Kardashian's requests for a divorce and is insisting on an annulment of their marriage based on fraud. Due to his work schedule, he is unavailable and therefore unable to commence legal proceedings until mid-May or June, and Kardashian, who is reportedly eager to end their legal marriage, is now concerned that the stress she has endured could pose "long-term effects" on her unborn child, according to TMZ.com.
Kardashian, 31, is currently expecting her first child with rapper Kanye West and the stress of her ongoing divorce battle with Humphries is reportedly starting to take a physical toll on her pregnancy. The reality TV star recently sought medical advice after experiencing severe pains, and a doctor allegedly concluded that stress was the root cause.
Waller has accused Kardashian's camp of withholding evidence, which critics suspect is the real reason for the delay.
"Indeed, if as [Kardashian's attorney] Ms. Wasser asserts there really is 'no evidentiary support' to support Humphries claims, why don't they just give us the access we want? What are they hiding? What is there in the raw footage of this televised courtship, 72 day marriage and resultant breakup that they are so afraid of us discovering?" the court documents, which were obtained by Radar, state.
Humphries allegedly intends to support his fraud claims by using raw footage from Kardashian's various E! Reality TV shows.
"Kris' case will be very simple and straightforward. He believes the key to proving that the marriage was fraudulent lies in the production and filming of the Kardashian reality shows," a source reportedly told Radar.
"The only way that this case won't go to trial is if Kim publicly apologizes to Kris and admits that she only married him for television ratings. Kris just wants the truth to come out and Kim is just absolutely livid that she isn't getting her own way," a separate source previously explained.
