Kim Kardashian Banned From Met Gala; Snubbed by Vogue's Anna Wintour

Kim Kardashian fans are questioning why she was absent from the Met Gala in New York on Monday night, and new reports suggest that the reality TV personality has been banned from the annual event because Vogue Editor Anna Wintour detests her.

"Anna hates Kim! Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn't fit that bill at all," a source told Radar Online.

"The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can't even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!" the source added.

The Costume Institute Gala, which is also known as the Met Ball and hosted by Vogue, is said to be the biggest event in fashion each year and Kardashian is yet to explain her absence.

"Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn't invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie! She would of done anything to be there with all the A-listers," the source said.

The 31-year-old did take to her blog after the event to discuss her favorite fashions, but did not address her alleged snub from the event.

"I love to see all of the amazing fashions each year in New York at the MET Gala! This year my favorites were Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, Renee Zellweger, Jessica Alba, Hilary Swank, Cameron Diaz, Lala Anthony and my ultimate favorite… Karolina Kurkova! Hands down the most gorgeous look of the night!" Kardashian wrote.

The 31-year-old's boyfriend, Kanye West, made an appearance at the elite event along with other Hollywood A-listers including Gwyneth Paltrow, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and West's good friend Beyonce Knowles.

Like Wintour, Beyonce is reportedly not too fond of Kardashian, and was also sure to ban her from her inner circle after learning about her newfound relationship with West, according to Heat Magazine.

"[Beyonce] wasted no time in banning Kim from being invited into their inner circle, which is exclusive to say the least. Beyoncé is used to hanging out with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow- she's in a totally different league," a source told Heat Magazine.

While Kardashian is often featured on the cover of tabloid magazines, critics say that she will never land the cover of lead fashion magazine, Vogue.

"Anna Wintour would allow Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue over her dead body! As long as Anna's in charge you will NOT see Kim on Vogue," the source said.
