Kim Kardashian Clears Up Rumors About Quitting 'KUWTK'
Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight about her quitting "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
Kardashian, the 33-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star whose claim to fame is the E! reality television series, tweeted about her plans to continue filming the show despite rumors.
"Heard a silly rumor that I'm quitting the show! Not true," Kardashian exclaimed on Twitter. "Can't wait to film season 10 soon! I have the best job being w my fam all day long."
Still, the small screen star has had to defend her line of work in the past. While people may believe that her life is easy, Kardashian has made it clear that she works hard.
"The biggest misconception about my family and me is that we're lazy. I work hard; the show is a full-time job," Kardashian insisted to Vogue U.K. last year. "Sometimes I don't think people realize that – we work 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the program."
Aside from the show, Kardashian insists that she and her family are hard at work on other business ventures.
"People think, 'Well, what do they do,'" Kardashian previously explained to Vogue. "We do so much, we work on the show, on fragrances, on our fashion line – there's a lot. Also, people have this idea that my mom (Kris Jenner) controls us all and will her book her kids to do anything if it makes money. I am in my thirties – my mom can't tell me what to do."
Kardashian's occupation was a cause for debate last year when the father of her child and fiancee, rapper Kanye West, insisted that she deserved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
While A-list actors appear on the stars that line the sidewalks on Hollywood Boulevard, California native Kardashian might have been shunned by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who is in charge of those appearing on the famed sidewalk.
"I want to give a shout out to the stars at the Walk of Fame cause they said something about how they're not going to put my girl on the walk of Fame cause she's a reality star. It's like people are so dated and not modern," West told late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel last year. "There is no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk of Fame. It's [a] ridiculous concept."
