Kim Kardashian Denies Getting Botox While Pregnant: 'It's Not True!'
Kim Kardashian recently denied claims that she is still getting cosmetic injections while pregnant, insisting that the explosive reports are false.
The reality TV star, 32, is just weeks away from giving birth and on Wednesday a tabloid claimed she is still getting Botox injections. The report raised concerns for the safety of Kardashian and rapper Kanye West's unborn baby, but she insists that claims are untrue.
"It's absurd and not true!" Kardashian's spokesperson told Daily Mail U.K.
Kardashian, who is no stranger to cosmetic fillers, previously admitted to trying out the beauty procedure. A source told In Touch magazine that pregnancy has not stopped Kardashian from getting Botox.
"She's still getting injections even though she's seven months pregnant. She's become more neurotic than ever about her looks," an alleged family insider told the magazine, adding "She'll do anything to be beautiful."
In recent weeks Kardashian, who is due in July, has been sporting an enhanced pout, which triggered rumors of alleged lip injections in addition to the Botox reports. The reality TV star has received intense media scrutiny over her natural weight gain throughout her pregnancy and a source claims this has made her slightly insecure about her appearance.
"She's so worried about what she looks like — that's why she's still getting Botox," the insider said. "She'll go to any lengths to protect the one thing that's most precious to her: her beauty."
Botox injections are commonly used to iron out wrinkles and to promote a youthful appearance in the skin. One expert acknowledged that there may be potential dangers in pregnant women getting cosmetic fillers.
"Fillers and Botox have not been studied in pregnant women, therefore, their safety for pregnant women has not been demonstrated. In general, they are not recommended for pregnant women," Dr. Paul J. Carniol told HollywoodLife.com. "If we know someone is pregnant, we do not treat them with Botox or fillers."
