Kim Kardashian Divorce: No Reconciliation Planned
After reports of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' meeting in Minnesota could lead to a possible reconcile, it was confirmed by sources close to Kardashian that the divorce is in full-swing.
As reported by TMZ, Kardashian was conflicted by the divorce and needed the trip to Minnesota to gain closure with her decision. She traveled Sunday to meet with Humphries and a pastor to talk out their problems, but reports claimed she wanted to apologize to the basketball player's family as well.
The same sources said Humphries' lawyers are handling the divorce for him. TMZ also reported there is no conflict in the terms of the divorce with both sides agreeing to everything.
Kardashian revealed one of the reasons why she married Kris was to start a family.
“I want a family, babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed into something too soon," said Kardashian to the Sun.
The reality star filed for divorce from her husband just 72 days after tying the knot, citing irreconcilable differences.
The star expressed her sorrow about the wedding through a message on her website last Tuesday.
In the statement Kardashian said she "married for love" and "would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show," although she admitted getting "caught up" in all the attention surrounding the show.
Kardashian takes "full responsibility" for her actions, and she said the wedding was never the fairy tale she had "so badly hoped for."
"When I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and I didn't want to disappoint a lot of people," she wrote.
Friend's of the reality star told TMZ they thought Humphries was lying when he said he wanted a nice life with her in Minnesota. Now that the marriage is over, friends of Humphries’ said he is "chasing fame."
They also said Kardashian was unimpressed by his persistence to keep their connection going even if they divorced. Humphries allegedly wanted to brand his name, and try to get deals for cologne, nightclub appearances, and other merchandise.
The pair dated for nine months before marrying in August, with a televised two-hour ceremony special on E! News Channel.
