Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Pastor Getting Reality Show
Rich Wilkerson Jr., the pastor who officiated Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding, is now gearing up to star in his own reality television show.
Wilkerson, 30, is an associate pastor of the at the non-denominational Trinity Church where he began a young adult ministry called The Rendezvous. Although he is the son of a pastor, Wilkerson rose to popularity when marrying the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kim and her rap mogul husband Kanye last May.
Now, Oxygen network is announcing that it will air a docu-series tentatively called, "The Wilkersons" about the young pastor and his wife DawnCheré. The network is calling the upcoming series "a more entertaining way of spreading the Gospel."
"This series not only walks with people through the struggles of their lives, but also sheds light on how Rich Wilkerson and his wife DawnCheré are committed to making church and faith fun as well as unexpected," is how Oxygen network described the show in a press release. "With the entire family involved in the church, they are ready to share their innovative and thought-provoking ministering with both the believers and non-believers."
E! Networks correspondents Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy are set to produce the show, which the latter says he is excited about.
"Producing this show has been a dream of mine, I'm thrilled that Oxygen has given us this platform," Kennedy told E! News. "Rich and DawnCheré are some of the most fascinating people I've ever been around. I can't believe we get to finally share their story with the world."
Wilkerson previously told The Christian Post that he was only culturally relevant because of the fact that he spread the message of Jesus Christ.
"I think people get caught up a lot in that, but I think that Jesus has always been relevant so anyone that preaches Jesus can have a relevant message," Wilkerson previously told CP. "... The biggest thing is do you know God, do you have something to say and just doing your best to present that."
The air date for Wilkerson's show has yet to be determined.
