Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Split? Reality Star Feels 'Deserted' by Rapper

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly facing relationship woes, with a report claiming the long distance has become a growing issue for the reality TV star.

West, 35, is currently in France, where he has spent several weeks performing and working on his sixth studio album. Kardashian, who is six months along in her pregnancy, reportedly feels "deserted" by the rapper and has allegedly turned to food for comfort.

"She's eating her feelings. She's telling friends that she's miserable in her relationship with Kanye because he's deserted her," a source close to Kardashian allegedly told In Touch magazine.

"She knows she's probably going to end up as a single mom. No wonder she's packing on the pounds," the source continued.

A previous report claimed that West has been distancing himself from Kardashian, 31, in a bid to protect his image. He recently acknowledged reports claiming his popularity is in decline and attributed this to Kardashian.

"They don't like Givenchy Kanye. They don't like Kanye in a kilt, they don't like Kanye in a relationship," he complained to New York radio station Hot 97 after falling to 7th place on this year's list for MTV's top rappers in the industry.

Just days after Kardashian confirmed her pregnancy on New Year's Day, various media outlets claimed West, who is a Grammy-award winning rapper, had suffered a drastic decline in popularity. Public perception allegedly shifted due to his involvement with the reality TV star.

Randy Parker, E-Poll Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, claims Kardashian has in fact affected West's reputation.

"He was starting to bounce back from [the 2009 VMA incident with Taylor Swift]. There does appear to there is some sort of fallback or blowback from him hooking up with Kim," Parker told the Huffington Post.

"One of the things we measure is an attribute called 'Overexposed.' We find that people use it as a general way of saying, 'I've had it with you, You've just gone a little too far,'" he explained, adding, "I'm guessing his overexposed score is quite high."
