Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Versailles Wedding Denied; Couple Tried to 'Persuade' French Officials?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will reportedly not get married at the Palace of Versailles in France as insiders claim their request to do so has been denied.
The Hollywood couple is currently in France scouting potential wedding venues for their upcoming Summer wedding and on Sunday they visited the iconic landmark palace, which is located just outside of Paris in the village of Versailles. Sources claim that prior to Kardashian and West's visit, they were informed by palace officials that a "wedding/reception wouldn't take place at Versailles. It would just have been to intrusive for visitors to the Palace, and the staff," according to RadarOnline.com.
"Kim and Kanye really wanted to get married at Versailles and were both hoping to persuade officials during their visit…ultimately it backfired. It was still a firm no," the insider explained.

West, 36, proposed to the reality TV star, 33, in October and he previously revealed that they would likely wed during the Summer. They share a seven-month-old daughter North West.
The pair reportedly also looked at the Trianon Palace Versailles, which is a luxury Waldorf Astoria hotel that is located near the Palace.
"Kim and Kanye will now be scouting private estates and chateau's in the region. Working with an estate manager would be much easier than dealing with all of the red tape of having a wedding at a public venue," the insider explained.
"The couple is looking for something grand, but something that can offer privacy and security," the source added.
Kardashian and West are reportedly hoping for a royal feel to their wedding and sources claim the E! star will design her wedding dress similar to Kate Middleton's royal wedding gown. Middleton, 31, made waves in 2011 with her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown worn during her royal wedding to Prince William.
"Kim is absolutely obsessed with everything Kate and William do. She considers her own family 'American Royalty,'" a source told Grazia magazine.
"Kim loves Kate's style and while she is planning on several gowns for her big day, she wants the one for the ceremony to look something like Kate's dress," the insider revealed. "The brief is demure princess and she'll also wear a tiara."
