Kim Kardashian, Katie Couric Reunite After Rift
Kim Kardashian recently partied with Katie Couric, almost one year after lashing out at the journalist publicly.
Kardashian, the 33-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, posed with Couric, 57, model Christie Brinkley, 60, and her mother Kris Jenner,58, at a weekend party in the Hamptons, New York.
"Great night @kimkardashian @shellibird1 @christiebrinkley @katiecouric! #hamptonslife," Jenner captioned the image on her Instagram account.
The women were spotted at a party in the Hamptons where the Kardashians are filming a reality television spinoff series and Couric owns a home. The reunion takes place after Kardashian became upset with the journalist publicly.
After Kardashian caught wind of comments that Couric made questioning her popularity, she took to Twitter to lash out.
"#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalk (Expletive)," Kardashian captioned an Instagram photograph of a gift Couric sent for her baby with rapper husband Kanye West.
However, Couric offered a public apology soon after Kardashian spoke out against her.
"I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person," Couric told E! News.
The veteran journalist upset Kardashian after speaking to In Touch Weekly about not understanding her level of fame.
"I don't understand-why are they so famous," Couric previously questioned.
However, she recently defended her comments.
"I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings," Couric told E! "The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."
Still, the small screen star has had to defend her line of work in the past. While people may believe that her life is easy, Kardashian has made it clear that she works hard.
"The biggest misconception about my family and me is that we're lazy. I work hard; the show is a full-time job," Kardashian insisted to Vogue U.K. last year. "Sometimes I don't think people realize that – we work 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the program."
