Kim Kardashian Upsets Amanda Bynes' Parents
The parents of troubled actress Amanda Bynes are reportedly furious over comments made by reality TV star Kim Kardashian praising their daughter.
Kardashian, 31, recently co-hosted E!'s "Chelsea Lately" show where she made comments about Bynes drastic transformation. Bynes has been behaving bizarrely in recent months raising concerns about her mental well being.
"Am I the only one that is obsessed with her new makeover?" Kardashian told the audience."I think she looks amazing. With the blonde hair and those nails?"
Bynes, who has changed her appearance several times in recent weeks, appeared to be pleased with Kardashian's comment judging by her response on social networking site Twitter.
"I love the beautiful Kardashian sisters!" Bynes Tweeted also referring to Kardashian's sisters Khloe and Kourtney.
Bynes' parents, Lynn and Rick, however were reportedly far from impressed with Kardashian's encouraging words. They are allegedly growing more concerned about the former child star's well being.
"They thought the remarks Kim (Kardashian) made were in poor taste and are very upset about it," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at Amanda and surmise that she is having some sort of crisis," the source continued.
On Monday the 27-year-old former Nickelodeon star lashed out at reports claiming she was kicked out of a gymnastic class for "strange" behavior. The New York Post claimed Bynes showed up to a gym class in lingerie and that the actress was escorted out over erratic behavior.
In addition to the gym incident, there have been reports of raunchy tweets targeting fellow celebrities; frequent makeovers which include a cheek piercing; several random solo outings; publicly smoking unknown substances; driving mishaps and ongoing legal woes.
"Her makeover is just one example of her troubling behavior. Her parents just wish the media would leave Amanda alone, because it's only making the situation worse. Amanda is lost and she refuses to get help," the source said.
"Her parents are powerless to do anything because she is 27 years of age and there is very little they can do, under the law," the source added.
