Kim Kardashian Wedding: Reality Star to Marry Kanye West At Statue of Liberty?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly considering exchanging "I dos" on Liberty Island, where the Statue of Liberty is located.
The Hollywood power couple announced their engagement in October during Kardashian's 33rd birthday and they are expected to go all out for the big day. In addition to a possible wedding on Liberty Island, West, 36, recently revealed that he is open to having a televised wedding.
Kim is his best friend in the world. She makes him feel free, like there's nothing he can't accomplish," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"He thinks she's beautiful, a symbol of love and what better place to do it than at the Statue of Liberty," the source revealed.
Liberty Island is located in the New York harbor and it is of Manhattan's greatest tourist attractions. West and Kardashian would likely shut down the island for their big day to ensure their privacy.
"He thinks that would blow her away because it says a lot, a whole lot, about how much he cares about her and how much he loves her," the insider explained.
"He doesn't want to be common with this wedding. This will be the biggest day of his life and he wants it to big but even more, he wants it to symbolize something. And when he's with her, he feels liberated!" the source continued.
In October West revealed that his wedding to Kardashian will likely take place during the summer of 2014. The notoriously private rapper shocked fans in recent weeks when he revealed his openness to marrying the reality TV star on television.
"I would take as much as possible, if someone's gonna pay me to broadcast that," he told Power 106. "What's official for everybody in this room and everybody on this globe right now is some bills. We can help out with those bills."
The "Blood On The Leaves" rapper has reportedly taken full control of wedding planning and sources claim he is intent on having an over-the-top extravaganza that could potentially outdo the 2011 royal wedding.
"He's making a public statement that his wedding tops all weddings throughout history," a family insider told OK! Magazine.
