Kim Kardashian's $17 Million Wedding Was 'Christ-Centered,' Says Pastor
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ multi-million profit wedding was a “God-honoring, Christ-centered ceremony,” said Pastor Joel Johnson, who presided over the power couple’s wedding last week.
“As Pastor of Westwood Community Church, it is my privilege to officiate the marriages of families within our congregation including the Humphries/Kardashian wedding,” Pastor Johnson told the Chanhassee Villager.
“The couple requested a God-honoring, Christ-centered ceremony and gave me the freedom to share a message that upholds God's perspective on love that leads to a great marriage. This is what I wish for Kim and Kris in their marriage, and for every marriage.”
Us Weekly reports the couple married with a Swarovski crystal cross at the altar.
The Kardashian/Humphries wedding, which was turned into a 2-part reality mini-series on E! with enough corporate advertising to be compared to the Super Bowl by The Hollywood Reporter, is rumored to have earned the couple over $17 million.
The glamour did not stop at crystal crosses as Kardashian wore several hundred thousand dollar dresses throughout the night and cut a $20,000 cake.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Pastor Johnson said, "This is not just a mere wedding event,” Eonline reported.
The televised wedding event concluded with a prayer.
