E! has scheduled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” to air in two parts on Sunday, October 9 at 8 p.m. and Monday, October 10 at 9 p.m.

The special will shed a behind-the-scenes look at Kim Kardashian and fiancé Kris Humphries’ wedding, beginning with the wedding planning, the couple’s parties, and covering the actual wedding day. Kim and Kris will be wed in Montecito, California on August 20.

El!’s “ Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s” star, Kim, announced her engagement after six months of dating the NBA player earlier this year. Family friend and designer Vera Wang, who also designed Khloe Kardashian’s wedding gown, will design Kim’s dress for her nuptials.

Kim recently attended her bridal shower where Food Network star Rachael Ray made delicious treats for the bride-to-be and her guests.

Sisters Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie all gathered at their mother Kris Jenner’s home in Calabasas, California to shower Kim with gifts. Celebrity guests attended, including Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, and surprise guest, the groom - Kris Humphries.

“She was completely at ease and the happiest I’ve ever seen her,” a guest told OK! Magazine of Kim at the bridal shower.

Upon the engagement announcement, Khloe Kardashian was reported saying, “It’s going to be royal wedding number two.”

Also, OK! reported that Kim wanted to outdo the royal’s wedding in May.

“Kim doesn’t see why a royal wedding should get more attention than hers. She sees herself as a bigger celebrity than Kate Middleton. Kim thinks it would probably be the biggest TV wedding of all time.”

The bride-to-be has her heart set on a wedding cake that resembles Prince William and Kate’s.

Kim and Kris were spotted at Los Angeles’ Hansen’s Cakes on July 29 testing cake flavors. The couple agreed on a ten-tier white cake, similar to the royal couple’s, but with chocolate-chip icing adorned with black and white decorations, for their wedding day.
