Kim Zolciak, Sheree Whitfield Talk New 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Cast
Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield, the former cast members on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," recently spoke up about the current season of the popular Bravo TV reality television series.
While Zolciak officially left the show after the fifth season, Whitfield departed after season four. However the pair appeared on Bravo's late-night show, "Watch What Happens Live" recently where they opened up on their thoughts concerning season six.
Zolciak, 35, said when she joined the show it differed from what fans are currently watching.
"It was real. We were really mad," she said on the late night talk show. " Or we were really happy. We were really having a good time."
While Whitfield, 43, said the former cast "put our all into it," it seems the pair believe there are a lot more outside factors involved in stirring up drama on the show.
"It wasn't blogs creating it. Or it wasn't other people texting ... we were really mad or really happy," Zolciak said on "Watch What Happens Live." "These were issues that we were really going through. I really think people can sense that or feel that throughout the years."
While Whitfield admitted that she does not always tune into the show nowadays, she did admit to watching one episode where her former rival NeNe Leakes engaged in a verbal altercation with socialite Marlo Hampton. In the past both Zolciak and Whitfield did not back down from Leakes, which is something that the former said seems to have changed.
"Well you know, I only caught a couple episodes. I thought it was kinda bad," Whitfield said on the late night talk show. "Thought it was not good that these women just kinda letting her talk to them any kinda way. I think that NeNe kinda knows who to challenge."
Zolciak seemed to agree saying, "I mean because we do have history with NeNe, we tend to challenge."
Leakes, the only original cast member still appearing on the show, called in to the late night program to admit that she did miss working with her former cast members. This is not her first time speaking about the matter.
"I never thought in a million years that I would say this, but I kind of miss the old girls a little bit," Leakes told "Good Morning America" last year. "The deal is, we started together, and it was a sort of like a journey that we had together, so I miss them in that way."
