'Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix': Patch 1.02 Released to Address 60FPS Bug

The Japanese version of "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" gets an update from Square Enix days before its release in North America and Europe.

The studio released patch 1.02 for the game to address the gauge and damage bugs, which recently started to plague the title, particularly, "Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix."

These issues are brought by the 60 frames per second (fps) support of the game. Before this patch was rolled out, a bunch of "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" gamers took to Reddit to report this newfound problem.

One Redditor noted that shifting to 60 fps "messes up the physics" in both "Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2," which leads to certain bosses behaving "strangely, with one being almost potentially broken."

Thankfully, Square Enix is quick to deal with the issue so "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" players should be able to switch to 60 fps without a glitch.

The "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" patch also addresses other bugs that Square Enix did not identify. Either way, the studio's efforts should offer a much-improved gameplay experience for players.

As for the folks in North America and Europe looking to get their hands on the collection, they will have to wait until March 28 and March 31, respectively.

"Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" includes remastered versions of two main "Kingdom Hearts" titles and four spinoffs, two for each game in the main line.

The collection comes with "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix" with the "Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories" and "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days" as its corresponding spinoffs.

"Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" also incorporates "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix" along with its spinoffs, "Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix" and "Kingdom Hearts Re:coded."

"Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 for $49.99. Gamers can purchase it from GameStop or Square Enix itself, who is offering a "Kingdom Hearts" pin as a bonus.
